11th Annual Run For Peace

About the Run For Peace
Course
The start and finish line of both certified courses – the 10k run and the 5k run/walk – are in Cesar Chavez Park, Berkeley Marina. Look for “Run For Peace” signs. The scenery is breathtaking (Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, the Berkeley Hills). The flat, easy, primarily asphalt course winds around Cesar Chavez Park (5km) and on the East Bayshore Trail to Gilman and back to Cesar Chavez Park (10km). There will be water stops along the course.
Divisions
We'll have three main race categories: 10k run, 5k run, and 5k walk. The two run categories are split in 6 divisions, corresponding to the age and gender of the runners. Our three age groups are 40+, 18+, and younger than 18, for both female and male. We also have a "special" category for wheelchair and blind athletes, who are welcome to register for the 5k run/walk.
Awards
The top runners in each division will receive awards in a ceremony immediately following the termination of the run. All runners who complete the run will get a free T-Shirt.
